Room One — the long table
South window, no machine in it at all. Every eighty- and hundred-and-ten-minute appointment happens here, and so does every first visit. It is the only room with a chair for someone who came with you.
Four facials a day across three rooms. No machines you have not asked about, no package you cannot leave, and a photograph of your face under the same lamp every single visit.
Minna Søholt opened one room above a watchmaker on Weggisgasse in 2016 with a borrowed couch and a steamer that leaked. There are three rooms now and still only four appointments in a day, because the fifth is where the hurry comes from. Everything below is what that actually costs you.
Eighty minutes is the only duration where all five of these fit without one of them being rushed. The fifty leaves out the second mask; the twenty-five is the top two and nothing else.
Daylight, then the lamp. We ask what you have been using for the last fortnight and what you stopped using and why. Most of what goes wrong is a product bought in January and never mentioned.
Oil first, gel second, eight minutes of steam at a distance that does not redden you. If your barrier is already angry we skip the steam and say so before we start, not afterwards.
A hard cap, on a timer. Past twelve minutes the skin is worse off than when we began, and a congested cheek is a four-visit problem, not a one-visit one.
Lymphatic work along the jaw and under the clavicle. This is the part people book for and the part that does least for your pores, and both of those things are fine.
Same lamp, same chair, same distance. You leave with one written instruction, never five, and nothing is sold to you at the door — if you want it, it is on the shelf downstairs.
Each one holds a different kind of appointment. You are told which room you are in when you book, because the room decides what is possible in it.

Blackout blind, a steamer that works, and the only magnifying lamp on the floor. Peels run here on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings only, so there is always someone else in the building.
The smallest room, kept dark. Twenty-five minute back facials and the half-hour between two long appointments when someone needs a cold compress and nobody talking at them.
We make nothing ourselves and we are nobody's exclusive stockist. If the thing you need is twelve francs at the chemist on Hertensteinstrasse we will write the name down for you.
Collected on the landing · posted anywhere in Switzerland for 9 CHF · no online checkoutI came in with eight products and left with three. Four months later my cheeks have stopped stinging in the shower and I have spent less money than I did last year.
She told me the serum I had just bought was fine and I should finish it before buying anything from her. That is why I rebooked.
Twelve minutes of extractions sounds mean until you have had forty somewhere else and spent a week hiding.
One email, once, when a room comes free inside forty-eight hours. It is first come, and it is the only reliable way into a Saturday before summer.
